Community projects
Suncoast Community Telco has provided monetary and in kind support to the following organisations:
Integrated Family and Youth Services
Integrated Family and Youth Services provide foster care, youth support, and youth shelter for the homeless - assisting them to remain connected to school and family and enabling them to move towards independence. Other services offered include mentoring, transitional housing, emergency relief and intensive respite support.

Woombye Community Group
Nambour Community Group
Maleny Community Group
The Woombye, Nambour and Maleny Community Groups were established to provide support for community infrastructure and social programs.
Over the past three years the Woombye Community Group has enthusiastically supported Suncoast Community Telco (SCT). This has enabled SCT to provide over $31,000 in funding for local community projects.
A big thank you to all who have changed their services to Suncoast Community Telco, and to all those who drove this project at a local level to make it a success.
SCT funds to these groups have assisted Woombye State School, Woombye sports clubs, Woombye Community Library, Special Olympics Sunshine Coast, Sunshine Coast Independent Living Service, Red Cross and Cittamani Hospice Service, just to name just a few.
In conjunction with our Nambour customers, SCT recently released $10,000 of funding to help the work of local charities in the Nambour area. Bendigo Bank manager Peter Macdonnell was on hand to present a cheque for $3,200 to Namtec Inc., an organisation that assists troubled youth through a series of practical courses including computer, mechanical and hospitality training.
They also provide young people with work experience by tendering for and fulfilling public works contracts for organisations such as the shire council, and offer a emotional support and encouragement to local youth who may be struggling at school or at home.
Bloomhill Cancer Help
Bloomhill Cancer Help offers immediate emotional support for any person dealing with the crisis of being diagnosed with cancer or other life challenging illnesses. Help and care are extended to include family members and their carers from the time of diagnosis.
Bloomhill Cancer Help receives regular contributions from Suncoast Community Telco via a percentage of the spend of our loyal customers, and in partnership with Garry Crick autogroup, who specifically nominated a percentage of their spend for Bloomhill.
